Welcome to Butterfly Therapy.

My name is Dani Phelps. I am a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist, Oncology Massage Therapist, Indian Head Massage Therapist and Level 2 Reiki healer.

I qualified in 2017 with a level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy with VCTC. This included all anatomy and physiology, principles of health and fitness, soft tissue dysfunction and professional practise in Sports Massage.

I continued to study Oncology Massage and Lymphatic drainage at London School of Massage.  I also completed a Diploma in Indian Head Massage with Mary Atkinson in 2018.  Finally, I became a Reiki 2 healer in 2019.

I am also a member of the Federation of Hollistic Therapists.

I currently work with private clients in the comfort of their own homes. Many of my clients have serious medical conditions.

I worked at Southampton Hospital in the Macmillan Centre as a Complementary Therapist for 4 years. I have also worked for Physiotherapy and Wellness at Station Mill, Alresford. I currently work as a patient facing volunteer at the Hospice in Winchester.

I work as a sports massage to your specific needs and in conjunction with Physiotherapists or consultants prior to and post surgery.

Oncology massage is a special type of massage that is tailored to the specific needs of individuals who have been affected by cancer. It is a gentle and nurturing massage that helps to alleviate the physical and emotional side effects of cancer treatment, such as pain, fatigue and anxiety. Massage can also improve the immune function (studies have proven that massage can increase lymphocytes) and helps with stress, moods and depression.

Each session is personalised to meet your specific needs, whether you’re in active treatment, recovering from surgery, or managing chronic side effects. My massage techniques are gently and nurturing, designed to promote relaxation and reduce stress.

Qualitative research has proven that massage can ease so many debilitating symptoms of cancer.

If you or a loved one is currently going through cancer treatment, or if you’re looking for a way to manage the side effects of cancer, please contact me. Together we can work towards healing and comfort.
